Does the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) know which houses in your community are daycare centers or which corners are used as school bus stops? Does the General Assembly understand traffic and parking in your town? Does the out-of-state gas industry value what you value?

These bills effectively outlaw any attempt by local municipalities to pass zoning ordinances that would take local concerns related to gas drilling into consideration. They want to pull the rug out from under your right to local self-governance. Why should this one industry be afforded such luxury?
